Teresa D’Elia is a filmmaker and researcher born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She graduated from the advanced film & television program at Humber College. Her internship at Triptych Media in Toronto introduced Teresa to the world of independent filmmaking.

After working as a producer and production manager in indie film and corporate video production, Teresa decided to delve into the realm of documentary. Her first feature film, Steeltown Bloom, is currently in post-production. 

Teresa also holds a Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Gerontology, from Simon Fraser University. Her research work is focused on improvements for residents and staff in the long term care sector and has been published in a variety of medical and academic journals.
