In former steeltown Hamilton, Ontario (a.k.a. “The Hammer”), creative spirits found a place to flourish in abandoned and underused spaces left behind in the post-industrial shuffle. Steeltown Bloom is a multi-year documentary featuring the journeys of local artists and creative entrepreneurs, over the course of a decade in the James Street North neighbourhood.

The Shadow Project - Trailer

The Shadow Project has taken place in over 250 cities worldwide. The event commemorates the 1945 bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan and aims to raise awareness about the ongoing threat from nuclear proliferation. In Hamilton, Ontario, The Shadow Project is hosted each year by artist Bryce Kanbara (You Me Gallery). This film presents footage from the 2019 event and archival material, set to a poem written by celebrated local writer Ellen S. Jaffe. The piece is performed by poet Nisha Patel (2019 Canadian Individual Slam Champion and Poet Laureate, City of Edmonton).

The Yukon Blues - Trailer

In 1965, Italian mountain climber, explorer and journalist Walter Bonatti, accomplished a solo canoe expedition down the Yukon and Porcupine rivers. Visiting the gold rush sites, he moved from the Chilkoot Pass up to the Klondike. He experienced the amazing Yukon River ice breakup in Dawson City and explored the Bonanza Creek. The Yukon Blues is Igor D’India’s attempt to recreate this journey and to document what has changed, with the fresh view of a young explorer.
